Technically he was a law-abiding citizen too. Like I said, just because some like to have neat tools, doesn't mean they need to be legal. If you can't fend off someone with a normal size clip, you don't need a gun in the first place. The stretched the amendment enough.
Cocaine is an illegal activity which is not that hard to find, proves my point. Why blame the gun or tools? Why not blame the person? Why blame people like myself and others who are out doing no harm to others?
Also who says only one clip is enough? There may be a case of more than a few attackers at a time, better to have more than just be another dead body.

I would never know where to go about finding it if I wanted, but if it were in stores, I'd know then...same thing with this, maybe he wouldn't either and would have saved some lives. No one has blamed anyone, there's just no reason for hunting or protection to have add ons like that or many assault-weapons.
Then buy more clips, but extended clips like he had that held 31(i believe), there's no use for that other than to shoot someone.
Reloading is easier said than done, having bullets tossed your way make you a little uneasy. When my dad was on the PD one guy he knew of got shot because he was reloading in a shootout and put the spent cartridges back in his gun. Needless to say he is no longer alive.

We're talking about the general public too, not an officer or the military, the general public has no use for them.
Who's to say they we will never be invaded by another country. I would like my chances with more ammo loaded and ready to go than waiting around on someone else to come rescue me.

Now I am not meaning this to take away from what happened in Arizona because it was a horrible but shootings happen everyday, why all the sudden make a law or change the law just for this one incident when adults and children are killed on a daily basis?
I agree with monkeyhead, I would rather be WELL protected in my home in the case of a home invasion, I don't want to have to worry about reloading....
Also, the laws regarding the mentally ill having firearms really needs to be stricter. I think that whenever someone gets diagnosed with a severe mental illness such as explosive disorders and things of that nature, someone needs to keep up with those patients or plans need to be put in place to make sure that firearms and weapons of any nature need to be kept away from them. Too often those patients get lost in the system and someone gets hurt. I have had a mentally ill family member, that isn't a family member anymore, that given the chance to get his hands on a gun, would have wiped out the house! He scared me just having a case knife..
there ya go, as long as we as a nation are armed, it would be very hard to launch an invasion against an army 250 million strong. Are you guys serious right now? You're using one of the most far fetched ideas possible to defend it? Might as well say "well what if aliens land?", use a little thinking with that one. That's somehow assuming that A)There's a country dumb enough to invade us on our own land and B) gets past the largest and most technologically sophisticated military the world has ever seen. Then after all that, get into a ground war with you....riiiiiight. You can have all the guns you want, there's no push to get rid of all guns or anything close to it, there's just weapons the general public should have no access to plain and simple.
